The Development of the Ukrainian Music

The Development of the Ukrainian MusicApush, a small city on the Black Sea coast in Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, is situated along the line of the Kiev-Moldova railroad. It was the main city of the industrialization of the region. It has been a symbol of industrialization since its onset. The first industrial village, located in Khatsivka, was established in 1797. The names of all the industries in Apush were derived from their location on the railroad. The origins of the revolution are also located in Apush. The revolutionaries established a factory in the center of the town, called the 'Factory of Cadets' (Youngster). Gradually the atmosphere changed and it was moved to Pervomaisky Street, but it continues to be its main center today. The change in the atmosphere of the factory's history can be seen in the number of songs that were composed. Since they belong to the educated and the upper strata of society, they prefer using nice lyrics and producing catchy tunes that depict the n ew society. This was true for the song 'Pomoville', which tells about a happy family in the countryside. The love song 'Granite Soldier' is another one of the most interesting songs in Apush.During the revolutionary resistance movement that occurred in 1917, the local musicians played and sang songs about nationalities that had supported the revolution. These songs had patriotic messages. The song 'Odessa' describes the situation of the city during the revolution.During the Soviet period, many of the musicians and the local musicians were transferred to other cities to work on projects that could be used as a replacement for the earlier styles. The music of the time was fast and aggressive. Even those songs that were not written during the revolutionary time are being used by the new generation today. The population of the region began to take up the folk music that was influenced by Russian influence. It has become part of the culture and social life of the residents of the region. In fact, even after the war when the new music came into play, it is still considered the main form of music.People of the region have kept the different styles and kinds of songs of the past as well as Russian influences with them. With the changes in the social, political and economic circumstances of the country, this aspect of Ukrainian music has continued to develop as well. While the country is now trying to regain its independence of the region, the older generations still cherish the old times and try to make the atmosphere of their towns and villages as good as it ever was.
